* / CONDITIONS[/b] you could sum up that main problem with Kane is that he has schizophrenia seasoned lightly with a slight case of dissociative identity disorder (formerly known as multiple personality disorder). He has 3 core personalities or identities, Kane who is himself, Zane who believes that he is a superhero sent here from another planet to protect mankind and Mindy who is a sterotypical sixteen year old girl.

The main problem with having an identity that thinks its a super hero, and having schizophrenia is that he can't always tell what's reality and what's made up by his mind. Zane always listens to what the voices tell him. One day when he was about sixteen he came home to see his father and his younger brother Damien wrestling on the floor. Upon seeing this he transitioned to Zane adn lost control who was thirteen at the time and accidently killed his brother because the voices told Zane that his brother was an intruder and trying to hurt his dad.

* / HISTORY[/b] Kane was your normal average run of the mill child growing up, he was very social, had a lot of friends and then one day when he hit puberty everything changed. Suddenly he became very anti social, he didn't worry about silly things like bathing or dressing neatly anymore. then he started not making sense sometimes. At first his parents thought that he had ADD and the doctor put him on medicine for that, but nothing seemed to help.

Then he started blacking out for sometimes days on end and wind up across town in some crappy hotel dressed like a girl, or sometimes he would wake up with bruises all over him and a broken nose. By the tim they figured out what was wrong with him, it was already to late. Sure the doctor recomended that he see a specialist, and he put Kane on all sorts of meds but they would only work for short periods of time. By the time Kane accidently killed his brother his parents were at thier wits end with him, and he was already feeling like a burden. So he was thankful that they had put him in a place that might be able to help him.
