* / HISTORY[/b] dahlia never had to want for a thing, really. she was born to a lawyer and a public representative for a record label. her life was picture perfect, her family got along well.. surprisingly there was no issue with her brother either-- which was rather strange... everything became complicated in her freshman year of high school though. she was invited to a party, and that's where everything changed. her drink was spiked, she was raped by a boy on the football team, and he told the whole school she slept with the whole team. dahlia was too embarrassed to tell her parents, so she went through some drastic changes. she changed her hairstyle, the hair color, everything. she also began to hang out with druggies, it was only a matter of time before she became addicted to cocaine-- she searched for a higher high, and eventually found heroin.
her family was torn apart by her addiction, she was stealing money from her family, and lying to them left and right. all because she was too afraid to tell them the truth. so, she hid behind drugs-- and when she hit meth, it was a rush she never felt before. it lasted two months before her family realized what was going on. they then decided to send her to stanfield asylum, and she stayed there for three years-- the first two were hell, they broke her in although she refused to cave in... she did when her parents refused to see her around christmas. she was released at nineteen, and went to college for psychotherapy.
in college she met a man named charles levesque, and he was going to school to become a lawyer, and they hit it off well. he was quiet and conservative, and she was free-spirited but levelheaded. they couldn't get enough of each other. they swore they would never get married, but charles couldn't help but ask for her hand in marriage. she was twenty seven then, half a year had passed and their marriage date was approaching fast-- but the most horrible thing happened. he was coming home from work late one night and was mugged, and brutally murdered. dahlia was in depression for two years before she ended up leaving boston, and applying to work at the asylum where she was sent to, to help the people who are in the same position as she was, and to maybe make things a little better.
